Online Report : The pirates on Wednesday contacted the owners of hijacked Bangladeshi ship `MV Abdullah`.

It`s the first time they contacted with the vessel owners.

Mizanul Islam, media advisor of KSRM Group, said, "The pirates contacted us through a third party this afternoon for the first time. They did not say about ransome money. A contact has been established. It is a very sensitive issue."

The ship is owned by KSRM Group`s `SR Shipping`.

Pirates anchored the hijacked ship, carrying 23 sailors, around 500 nautical miles off the Somalian coast.

The ship was hijacked by Somalin pirates in the Indian Ocean on March 12.
