Fire at Ctg shoe factory under control

Online Report : A fire that broke out at a footwear manufacturing factory near Textile intersection under Bayezid Bostami Police Station in Chattogram on Friday afternoon has been brought under control after 2.30 hours of attempts.

Chattogram Fire Service Control Room officials confirmed the information, adding that firefighters brought the blaze under control around 5.55pm.

Earlier, the fire originated at a factory owned by Rong Da International Enterprise Ltd around 4:15pm on Friday, said Mohammad Abdur Razzak, deputy director of Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defence Department.

On information, 12 firefighting units from Bayezid, Agrabad and Chandanpura fire stations rushed there and brought the blaze under control, he said.


However, the origin of the fire and the extent of damage in the incident could not be ascertained yet, said the fire official.
