25 injured as two buses collide in Brahmanbaria

Online reports : At least 25 passengers were injured after two buses collided head-on at Bijoynagar in Brahmanbaria on Sunday evening

According to the injured passengers and locals, a Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Shamali Paribahan’ from Sylhet collided with a Madhabpur-bound bus of ‘Diganta Paribahan’ Dhaka-Sylhet Highway at Rampur in Bijoynagar in the evening and fell into a road side ditch. At least 24 passengers of both buses were injured in the incident.

In-charge of Sarail Khatihata Highway police station Sarwar Hossain said on information police recovered the injured and took them to Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex and Sarail Upazila Health Complex for treatment.

Legal procedure is underway in connection of the incident, he said.
