Rain brings some relief to Dhaka dwellers

Residents in the capital heaved a sigh of relief from the sweltering heat with light rain in the capital and different parts of the country on
on Tuesday (April 16) afternoon.

Rain occurred after 3.30pm in different parts of the capital including Mohakhali, Badda, Bashundhara Residential Area, airport area and Uttara.

A day earlier on Monday, mercury shot past the 40-degree mark on the Celsius scale in six of the country’s eight divisions including Dhaka and Chattogram.

Monday marked the start of a five-day heat wave that the Meterological Department has forecast would perch the country.
