Three farmers die of heat stroke in Ctg, Nilphamari

Online Report : Three farmers died of heat stroke while working on a field under the open sky in Nilphamari and Chattogram on Wednesday.

In Chattogram: A farmer named Samshul Alam, 60, son of Late Thanda Mia of the area, died while working in the fields in West Chunti Hadur Pahar area of Chunti Union of Lohagara upazila the district.

Quoting the son of the deceased, in-charge of Chunati Police Station Alauddin said that Samshul went to work in the chili field and did not return within the specified time.


Family members found his body in the field but there was no sign of injury on it. The family suspected that Samshul might have died of heat stroke while working in the fields in intense heat.
Meanwhile, Monirul Mabud Royal, local UP member, acknowledged the matter.


In Nilphamari: two farmers died from suspected heatstroke in Domar Upazila and Dimla upazila of the district on Wednesday afternoon.

In Domar Upazila, Anarul Ahmen, 52, fell ill while working on a field around 1:30pm. Later, locals took him to the Domar Health Upazila Complex, where doctor declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Domar Police Station Mohsin Ali confirmed the matter of death.

In Dimla upazila, Abu Taleb, 54, felt sick on farmland on Wednesday afternoon. Later, locals took him to the health complex, where the duty doctor declared him dead.
