Teen missing at Cox`s Bazar Sea Beach after getting into water for bath

A teenage boy went missing in the bay in between Kalatali and Sugandha Point of Cox`s Bazar Sea Beach around 1:00pm on Monday.

Missing Mohammad Tareque, 14, was the son of Zainal Abedin of Shah Fakir Bazar area in Sadar union under Idgaon upazila in Cox`s Bazar district.

Executiove Magistrate Md Masud Rana, who heads the Tourism Cell of the district administration, has confirmed it.

Masud Rana said seven teens came to the sea beach from Shah Fakir Bazar area under Idgaon Upazila after Eid prayers in the morning. After wandering in the sea beach area, they went down to the sea for bath. At that time, one of the teens was washed way by the sea water. Beach and lifeguard workers at the beach are working to rescue the missing teen.
