Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members have been deployed in Dhaka, Chattogram, Bogura, and Rajshahi to maintain the law and order situation over the ongoing quota reform protests.

The paramilitary force members were deployed on Tuesday afternoon, said BGB public relations officer Md Shariful Islam.

However, he did not specify the number of platoons deployed in the four cities.

The move came after at least four people were killed and numerous injured in attacks over the quota reform protests.
