Banned outfit BCL leader held while appearing at exam

A female leader of the banned organization Chhatra League has been arrested in Rajshahi after coming to attend examination.

Jannatul Ferdous Priya, Environment Affairs secretary of Rajshahi City Chhatra League, went to the Rajshahi Govt Mohila College examination hall to appear at an examination early Sunday (October 27) afternoon. Witnessing her, other examinees started shouting. Later, the college administration handed her over to Boalia Police Station in face of students` demand.

Expressing anonymity, a student said the Chhatra League leader threatened general students in various ways during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Rajshahi city. Even, she sent the lists of student who took part in the movement, to the central leaders of Chhatra League.

Jannatul Ferdous Priya is a close associate of Anika Fariha Zaman, eldest daughter of Awami League presidium member AHM Khairuzzaman Liton. She was a member of Women Coordination Committee of Mayor Liton`s electoral areas.
