Malaysia decides to recruit large number of Bangladeshi workers: Asif Mahmud
  Date : 17-05-2025

(BSS) - Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan has said that Malaysia, in principle, has decided to recruit a large number of Bangladeshi workers in the days to come.

"Malaysia, in principle, has decided to take a significant number of workers from Bangladesh ... the country has also assured of ensuring proper wages, security, and overall welfare of the workers," Asif said in a post on his verified Facebook account.

Asif, also Youth and Sports Adviser, mentioned that the development came following a recent meeting between Expatriates` Welfare and Overseas Employment Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul and high officials of the Malaysian Ministry of Human Resources in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

Two major highlights of the discussion were: ensuring proper wages as well as benefits for the existing Bangladeshi workers, and preparing a well-balanced framework for sending new Bangladeshi workers under a transparent recruitment policy.
