Nusrat Faria arrested at Dhaka Airport
  Date : 24-05-2025

Bangladeshi actress Nusrat Faria was detained at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday (May 18) and handed down to Vatara Police Station for questioning.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Commissioner S.N. Md. Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter.

He said that Faria is named in a case related to the anti-discrimination movement. Immigration police stopped her due to the pending case before handing her over to local authorities.

According to police Faria’s case is under review. A decision on formal arrest will be made after further investigation.

Faria recently starred in the film Jinn-3, released during Eid-ul-Fitr. Despite her return to the screen after a year-long break, the movie’s song Konya gained more attention than the film itself. She has also acted in several West Bengal productions.
