  Date : 04-06-2025

The Election Commission (EC) will soon restore the registration and election symbol of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, according to AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad, Assistant Secretary General of the party. He stated that the EC has shown a “positive attitude” regarding the matter.

A Jamaat-e-Islami delegation met with the Election Commission on Monday (June 2) at the EC Bhaban to discuss two key issues, including the restoration of the party`s registration.

Following the meeting, Hamidur Rahman Azad told reporters, “Yesterday, the court ordered the EC to restore Jamaat’s registration to its previous status.
