Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed has proposed a Tk 405 crore allocation for July mass uprising martyrs’ families, and injured victims in 2025-26 fiscal year.
Salehuddin made the proposal while presenting the national budget for FY 2025-26 on Monday, June 2.
He said ‘July Mass Uprising Directorate’ has already been set up and activities are underway to establish the Ganabhaban as ‘July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum’ aimed at establishing the ideal and spirit of the uprising in state and national level.
“A policy will be made soon with a view to providing allowances to July mass uprising martyrs’ family and injured victims. Besides, Necessary measures are being taken for their treatment and rehabilitation,” the finance adviser said.
“I am proposing a Tk 405 crore 20 lakh allocation for the families of martyrs in July mass uprising and injured victims in the next 2025-26 fiscal year,” he added.
