134 institutions see zero pass rate in SSC exams
  Date : 10-07-2025

In this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations, not a single student passed from 134 educational institutions across the country — a sharp rise from just 51 such institutions last year.

The results were published at 2:00 pm on Thursday (July 10). This information emerged following an analysis of the published results.

According to the analysis, the average pass rate across the 11 education boards this year stands at 68.45 percent, down significantly from 83.04 percent in 2024.

Once again, female students outperformed their male counterparts. The pass rate among girls is 71.03 percent, while for boys it is 65.88 percent. This marks the tenth consecutive year in which girls have outperformed boys in the SSC exams.

A total of 139,032 students secured GPA-5 across the 11 education boards this year, compared to 182,129 students last year — indicating a notable decline in the number of top scorers.

The SSC and equivalent examinations were held from April 10 to May 13 this year, with around 1.9 million students participating.
