A court in Dhaka hasa issued an arrest warrant against Mehazabien Chowdhury on charge of `embezzling money and giving a death threat`.

Judge Afroza Tania of Dhaka Executive Magistrate Court-3 issued this order on November 10, plaintiff of the case Amirul Islam confirmed this on Sunday (November 16).

Another accused in the case isMehazabien`s brother Alisan Chowdhury.

Amirul said though it was scheduled for them to appear before the court on November 10, but they did not appear on that day.

According to the case documents, the complainant, Amirul Islam, claimed that Mehazabien, taking advantage of a long-standing acquaintance, persuaded him to invest in her “new family business” as a partner. Through cash payments and bKash transactions made on different dates, he allegedly handed over Tk 27 lakh to the actress.

The complaint further states that on February 11, Mehazabien and Alisan summoned him to a restaurant near Hatirjheel. There, accompanied by 4–5 unidentified individuals, they reportedly hurled abuses at him and threatened him with dire consequences.
