Separate state for Palestinians alone can solve age-old conflict

Abdul Khaleque Khandker

A separate state for the Palestinians is the only solution to the gory conflicts and inhuman human killings between Israel and Palestine that have been occurring most frequently over the ages.

Following the incidents of rocket-launching on Israel by the Hamas on 7 October 2023, the unprecedented killings by both the sides have made the whole world awed, overwhelmed and stunned as to see how such large number of humans - mostly unarmed, women and children can be killed indiscriminately.

The landmarks of civilizations that humans have built by the efforts of hundreds of years are being reduced to dust in a moment by the bombardments. The hellish horrors and destruction of the war have shuddered the conscience of the world people, and this violence and horror of killings, however, enter for its fifth or sixth day unabated.

In reaction to the prevailing situation between Israel and Palestine territories, Russian President Vladimir Putin has rightly expounded that a separate state for the Palestinians may put a permanent end to this perennial and gory conflict between Israel and Palestine.

The world leaders have also voiced the same tone in unison with Vladimir Putin’s voice that a separate state for the Palestinians alone can solve the age-old problems between the two countries, which very often surface resulting in profusely blood shedding and deaths.

An elderly political analyst from Dhaka, Md. Tajul Islam in this regard said, Saudi Arabia is guardian country for the whole Muslim world. He thinks, Saudi Arabia’s noble leaders may render some vital roles in order to put an end to this disgraceful blood-letting conflict.

Mr. Tajul said, it is now an urgent necessity for all the Gulf countries to forge unity with a view to hastening the establishment of a separate state for the Palestinians on the priority basis.

In the meantime, the emerging Muslim leader, Recep Tayyip Erdogan has raised question about the movement of the US war ship for the aid of Israel. He thinks, this attitude of the US will aggravate the situation only.

To be mentioned that the conflict between Israel and Palestine enters its fifth day with colossal loss of lives on both the sides.

Dozens of Israeli fighter jets have struck more than 200 targets overnight in a neighbourhood of Gaza City as it is known.

US President Joe Biden called the attacks by Hamas “an act of sheer evil” and added that at least 14 Americans were killed. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will arrive in Israel on Thursday, in a show of solidarity, Al Jazira report says.

The report also adds: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Tehran was not involved in the Hamas attack, though he “kissed the hands” of those doing damage to Israel.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is blaming US policy failures for the Israel-Hamas war.

The Palestinian envoy to the United Nations described Israel’s bombardment of the Gaza Strip and its vow to impose a complete siege on the Hamas-controlled Palestinian enclave as “nothing less than genocidal”.

With all the events and incidents, the peace-loving people of the world want a solution to the problem and for this, the leading countries of the world must come forward to put an end to this disgraceful human-killing war through establishment a separate state for the Palestinians.
