28, October, 2020, 3:47:43:PM

Mia Abdul Hannan: Erfan Selim and his bodyguards were always accompanied by 12 bodyguards in the court. Bodyguard Mohammad Zahid has been granted a three-day remand by a court. Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Noor granted the remand after a hearing on Wednesday. The incident took place near Kalabagan signal in the capital. Although GD in the incident on Sunday night, Erfan Selim on Monday morning, his bodyguard. Wasif Ahmed Khan filed a case with Dhanmondi Police Station accusing 2-3 unidentified persons including Zahid, AB Siddique Dipu and driver Mizanur Rahman. Earlier on Tuesday, October 27, Dhanmondi Police Station Inspector (Unarmed) Ashfaq Rajib Haider applied for a seven-day remand for a proper investigation into a case filed at Dhanmondi Police Station for beating and threatening to kill a naval officer. Additional Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Asaduzzaman Noor is scheduled to hear the matter on Wednesday. Irfan Selim, son of Haji Mohammad Selim, continued to dominate, extort and occupy old Dhaka, including building his own control system. As his bodyguard, 12 women were always by his side. RAB recovered such shocking information from Irfan`s bodyguard Jahidul on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. According to him, Irfan has a strong gang of more than 70 members. He used to communicate with them through walkie-talkies. According to the RAB, most of Irfan`s bodyguards have illegal weapons. These illegal weapons were used more for intimidation than for use. These illegal weapons were brought from abroad. On the same day, RAB recovered an illegal weapon from his bodyguard Jahidul. According to RAB sources, Irfan used to drink alcohol regularly with his bodyguards. Erfan also used drugs on the day of the beating with Navy officer Wasif Ahmed. He was beaten while intoxicated. Irfan can understand his mistake back home after the incident. On the same night, Irfan entered his bar on the fourth floor of his grandfather`s house and drank wine all night. He also admitted to drinking alcohol on the day of the expedition. During the operation, the RAB tested his dope, locals and RAB sources said, Irfan Selim and his family had a total of 40 bodyguards. They always surrounded `Chan Sardar Dadabari`. Of these, only Irfan had 12 bodyguards. He himself appointed these bodyguards with good bodies. If Irfan or any of his family members left the residence, various roads in Chawkbazar would be closed at least half an hour in advance as per VVIP protocol. The bodyguards used to do the same thing before they returned home. The locals said that if anyone was on the road or forgot to take a rickshaw when Irfan or his family was traveling, they would be beaten. Irfan has at least 100 paid cadres outside the 40 bodyguards. Meanwhile, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has registered four separate cases against Irfan Selim and his associates under the Arms and Narcotics Act at the Chawkbazar Police Station on Tuesday night. It may be mentioned that on Sunday night, October 25, Wasif Ahmed Khan, a naval officer, was beaten after getting out of a government vehicle with the words `Member of Parliament` of Dhaka-7 MP Haji Mohammad Selim. Although GD was involved in the incident at night, Wasif Khan filed a case against seven people, including Haji Selim`s son, on the morning of Monday, October 26, according to the case statement. Introduce yourself. Then the accused from the car kept saying together, I am taking out your navy / army, I am taking out your lieutenant / captain. I will kill you now.
