Habu Bhuiyan Appeals to Elect the Symbol of Independence, the Sheaf of Paddy

Kamrul Hasan: Rafiquddin Bhuiyan Habu, former organizational secretary of the district BNP and member of the district BNP convener committee, has appealed to the people to ensure victory for the symbol of independence, the Sheaf of Paddy, in the upcoming elections. He emphasized the importance of this step for the nation’s welfare.

He stated that BNP’s acting chairman and national leader, Tarique Rahman, has formulated a 31-point plan for state structure reform to protect the country’s independence, constitution, and democracy. Implementing this plan will make the nation self-reliant, prosperous, and advanced, with its positive impact resonating internationally. To maintain this continuity, it is essential to work unitedly.

On Monday afternoon, while campaigning in Manikganj city—covering Borobazar, Dashra, Beutha, Bandutia Bazar, and other areas—and distributing leaflets supporting the Sheaf of Paddy for Afroza Khanam Rita, Habu addressed party leaders, supporters, general voters, and local women, urging them to vote for the symbol of independence. Leading figures from BNP and all its allied organizations were present.

He remarked that it was due to the foresight of national leader Tarique Rahman that, in the face of the mass movement by BNP, students, and the people on August 5, the tyrant fascist Hasina was forced to leave the country, marking the beginning of a fascism-free, new Bangladesh. He stressed that only a united force can successfully implement all initiatives. Therefore, embracing the ideals of the martyr president Sheikh Ziaur Rahman and setting aside all differences, the nation must unite to ensure victory for the Sheaf of Paddy, which will be highly beneficial for the country and the people.

Habu noted that, to fulfill the long-cherished aspirations of the people over 17 years, the caretaker government has decided to hold national elections in the first half of February 2026.

He warned that those opposing independence are attempting to delay and disrupt elections under the pretext of the PR system, fearing their own defeat. Such forces are never beneficial for the nation. He called for building united public opinion to resist these negative forces.

Habu further stated that to ensure victory for the Sheaf of Paddy in Manikganj, a stronghold of BNP, every party wing must actively participate in the 31-point state reform campaign announced by national leader Tarique Rahman. Both men and women must play leading roles. Only then can Tarique Rahman become the Prime Minister, enabling the implementation of all forms of national development.

Finally, he prayed for the speedy recovery of the country’s leader Begum Khaleda Zia and wished for the good health and long life of national leader Tarique Rahman.
