It is Tarique Rahman’s Strong Leadership That Paved the Way for a Freed Bangladesh : Jinnah Kabir

Staff Correspondent : S.A. Jinnah Kabir, member of BNP’s Central Executive Committee, former general secretary of Manikganj District BNP, and senior member of the District BNP’s Organizing Committee, as well as the flag-bearer of Dhanshish in Manikganj-1 constituency, has remarked that it is the foresight, prudence, and strong leadership of BNP’s Acting Chairman and National Leader Tarique Rahman that laid the foundation for a Bangladesh free from autocratic rule.

On Wednesday afternoon, at the courtyard of Daulatpur Model Government Primary School in Manikganj, S.A. Jinnah Kabir made these remarks while addressing a campaign meeting organized by Chokmirpur Union BNP and its allied organizations. The event was part of BNP’s nationwide campaign to promote the 31-point state structure reform announced by National Leader Tarique Rahman, including leaflet distribution and public outreach.

During his speech, S.A. Jinnah Kabir stated:“Under the visionary leadership of National Leader Tarique Rahman, the autocratic regime fell in the face of mass movements led by BNP, students, and the people. Now, it is essential to transform the fruits of that movement into sustainable development. Following the ideals of the late President Ziaur Rahman, we must continue the nation’s development trajectory.”

He further added: “As part of fulfilling the people’s 17-year-long expectations, the interim government has decided to hold the national election in February 2026. However, certain quarters are conspiring to derail the elections under the guise of a ‘PR system’. This malicious effort must be countered unitedly for the welfare of the country.”

Addressing party leaders and workers, he urged them to play an active role in ensuring the victory of the Dhanshish symbol and encouraged women to take a leading role in political activities alongside men.

He also prayed for the speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and wished for the good health and long life of National Leader Tarique Rahman.

The meeting was attended by prominent figures including: Kazi Mostak Hossain Dipu, Masudur Rahman Masud, Lokman Hossain, Mizanur Rahman Liton, Mir Manikuzzaman Manik, Sirajul Islam, Anisur Rahman Anis, Habibullah Nomani, Asif Iqbal Roni, Kazi Nadim Hossain Twel, Abdul Momen, Raja Mia Mahid Mia, Hossain Ali, Juel Rana, Shafiqul Islam Shafik, Fariduzzaman Farid, Shahidul Islam, Saidur Rahman, Saif Chanowar, Mosharraf Hossain, Faruk Mir, Salem Mia, Shawkat Ali, Sabuj Bepari, Nasir Uddin, Amir Hamza Pintu, Zahidul Islam Jihad, Sakib Khan Ayon, Shahin Islam, along with leaders of district, upazila, union, and ward BNP units, allied organizations, local dignitaries, and thousands of residents.
