International, September 20 : Adão Francisco Correia de Almeida, speaker of Angola’s National Assembly, recently gave an exclusive interview to China Global Television Network (CGTN) of China Media Group (CMG) in Beijing.

In the interview during his visit to China, Almeida said the visit was of significant importance. He noted that it had enriched the substance of bilateral relations through cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries, while further deepening the traditional friendship and cooperation between Angola and China.

Speaking about China’s experience in development and governance, he said China’s path of sustainable development, growth, transformation and modernization is something of which the Chinese people can be proud.

Praising the four global initiatives proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, Almeida said the initiatives would help promote more effective multilateralism and reflect a proper understanding of the challenges facing the world today. He said China is a country with a clear direction for development, well-defined goals and sustained efforts to achieve them.

Almeida said that in recent years, Angola has focused on strengthening efforts to diversify its economy, increase industrial and agricultural production, and attract foreign investment. He noted that hundreds of Chinese companies are currently operating in Angola, running factories and increasing their investments. Chinese companies are participating in Angola’s economic diversification process. “We are interested in providing Chinese enterprises with an even better business environment,” he said.
