Khelafat Majlis mourns Riyadh airport attack, urgeus safety for Bangladeshis

Online Desk: Khelafat Majlis has expressed deep concern and grief over an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that reportedly killed 12 people, including two Bangladeshis, and left four others receiving treatment in intensive care.

In a condolence message issued on Sunday, Khelafat Majlis Ameer Maulana Abdul Basit Azad and Secretary General Dr Ahmed Abdul Qader condemned the attack and expressed profound sorrow over the casualties.

The two leaders prayed for the eternal peace of the souls of those killed and conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. They also urged the Bangladesh government to take necessary steps to bring home the bodies of the two Bangladeshi victims as soon as possible to facilitate their burial in the country.

They called for ensuring advanced medical treatment for those injured in the attack.

Expressing concern over the ongoing crisis and clashes in the Middle East, the Khelafat Majlis leaders urged the Bangladesh government to take effective measures to ensure the safety of Bangladeshi expatriates in the region. They also called on Bangladeshis living in affected areas to remain vigilant and exercise caution amid the deteriorating security situation.

The leaders further urged the leaders of the Muslim world to come forward with coordinated efforts to end the ongoing conflicts and restore peace and stability in the region.

The incident has renewed concerns over the safety of Bangladeshi expatriates in the Middle East, where a large number of Bangladeshis live and work to support their families back home.
