Bangladesh joins 35th Malaysia International Machinery Fair

Bangladesh joined the 35th Malaysia International Machinery Fair 2024 for the first time under the initiative of Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.

The three-day fair began at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center on Thursday.

A total of 780 institutions of 10 countries, including Bangladesh, are taking part in the fair.

Other participating countries are China, Germany, Korea Indonesia, Taiwan, Iran, Japan, India, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation Deputy Chief Executive Officer Abu Bakar Yusof inaugurated the fair on Thursday.

On the second day today, Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Md. Shameem Ahsan visited the fair and the Bangladesh stall there.

Plastic items, readymade dresses, leather goods, jute products, food items and others are being exhibited in the Bangladesh stall.

Besides, different publications on light engineering industry, packaging industry, Bangladesh trade and investment are on display. Documentaries on tourism and potentials of investment in Bangladesh are also being screened. BSS
