  Date : 20-09-2024

Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul on Thursday (Sep 19) said the interim government will take immediate action against those involved in mob justice, warning that no extrajudicial killing will be allowed at all.

“The incident of Dhaka University (DU) had made us saddened…no extrajudicial killing will be accepted at all,” he told a press briefing at Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka this evening.

Dr Asif Nazrul said three persons have already been arrested in connection with the incident of Dhaka University.

He vowed that the interim government will take immediate action through proper probes aimed at bringing the people involved in extra judicial killings to justice.

Two persons, including a former student of Jahangirnagar University (JU), were killed in separate mob beating incidents at JU and DU yesterday night.
