Palestinian Orphan Girl Elin: Fighting to Keep Dreams Alive with MASTUL`S Support
  Date : 03-10-2025

In the war-torn Gaza Strip, 11-year-old orphan Elin has become a symbol of helplessness and sorrow. The MASTUL Foundation has stood by this grieving child as part of its ongoing extensive humanitarian support in Gaza. Their commitment goes beyond emergency relief—focusing on long-term recovery, rehabilitation, and improving the quality of life for Gaza’s children.

Elin, a resident of northern Gaza, once lived a life of abundance. She shared a three-story home with her parents, siblings, and extended family. But everything was shattered in a horrific airstrike. The massive explosion turned their home into rubble, taking the lives of nearly 12 of her family members, including her parents, siblings, and relatives.

Though Elin miraculously survived, her body carries the marks of unimaginable suffering. Her skin was badly burned, and her head, arms, and legs sustained severe injuries. Showing her scars, Elin painfully says:
"The world must see my wounds and know the truth, because thousands of children in Gaza are suffering just like me."

As her condition worsened due to the lack of medical facilities in Gaza, her aunt took her to Cairo, Egypt, for better treatment. Yet even there, the lack of resources and financial hardships have kept their days filled with uncertainty.

With heartbreaking innocence, Elin asks:
"What was my fault? I never harmed the Jews. Why did my life have to be destroyed like this?"

Her once joyful childhood is now overshadowed by trauma. Friends avoid her because of her scars, making her feel like a burden on society. Yet, despite everything, her eyes still hold a spark of dreams—she wants to return to school, study, and become a journalist so she can tell the world the truth about Gaza.

Elin expresses her gratitude:
"I sincerely thank the people of Bangladesh for standing with us. I hope you will continue to support us in the future."

MASTUL Foundation’s Humanitarian Commitment and Long-Term Vision

MASTUL Foundation has pledged to stand not only with Elin but also with thousands of other wounded and orphaned children in Gaza. They are working to ensure proper medical care in Cairo, provide financial and food assistance, and focus on mental health support to ease their suffering.

Kazi Reaz Rahman, the Founder and Executive Director of MASTUL Foundation, said:
"Every child in Gaza is our child. We cannot remain silent in the face of their suffering. On behalf of 180 million people of Bangladesh, we will continue to stand by the children of Gaza, Insha’Allah. Our support is not limited to emergency relief—we want to plant the seeds of a new and brighter future for them."
