One more person has died from dengue in the country, while 619 new patients have been admitted to hospitals in the last 24 hours due to the mosquito-borne disease.
This information was released on Saturday (October 18) by the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the DGHS, between 8:00 am Friday and 8:00 am Saturday, the new dengue hospitalizations were as follows: 126 in Barishal Division, 104 in Chattogram Division, 44 in Dhaka Division (outside city corporation), 117 in Dhaka North City, 76 in Dhaka South City, 43 in Khulna Division, 33 in Mymensingh, 75 in Rajshahi, and 1 in Sylhet Division.
In the same 24-hour period, 1,129 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals across the country, bringing the total number of discharges this year to 55,963.
So far this year, a total of 58,899 patients have been admitted to hospitals with dengue, and 244 people have died from the disease.
