Convicted accused arrested in a police operation in Chitalmari

Chitalmari Correspondent: A convict has been arrested in a regular police operation at Chitalmari in Bagerhat. On Thursday night, the Chitalmari police conducted a raid and arrested the convicted accused named Zia Sharif from Baraguni area of ​​Barbaria Union. Zia Sharif, who was arrested, is facing a one-year rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Tk. 21 lakh in a check dishonor case. Besides, a check dishonor case No. 152/20 filed by Chitalmari Upazila Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral against Zia Sharif is pending in Bagerhat Court.

Chitalmari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mir Shariful Haque said the arrested Zia Sharif is a convicted accused in a check dishonor case. He was arrested and sent to jail.
