  Date : 26-04-2024

MT Desk: Like Palashi, conspiracies and plots are still going on for the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh, said Khandaker Lutfar Rahman, the top leader of the 20-party alliance and the president of Jagpa.

He said this while addressing a discussion meeting organized by the Jatiya Ganatantrik Party on the occasion of the historic Palashi Day at the party office in Naya Paltan on Wednesday.

He said, "There is no democracy in the country, the people`s right to vote is trampled. In this situation, the imperialist and hegemonic forces have continued various conspiracies against Bangladesh.

The Jagpa president added that the struggle against hegemony and aggression must continue in the way shown by public leader Shafiul Alam Pradhan. To bring back the people`s right to vote, the fascist government must fall.

He said it would be difficult for Bangladesh to survive if it could not resist the aggression of neighboring countries. In this situation, learning from the historical Palashi incident, the independence-sovereignty, flag-map, independent existence of Bangladesh must be built in the unity of all patriotic forces.

Jagpa Joint Secretary Dr. Awlad Hossain Shilpi, Saiful Alam, Dhaka Metropolitan President Hossain Mubarak, Youth Jagpa Convener Mir Amur Hossain Amu, Member Secretary Mir Md. Ishaq, Youth Leader Mahbub Hossain Babu, Md. Sheikh Sohel and others also participated in the meeting.
