KM Rubel, Faridpur: AKM Nazrul Islam, father of Wakil Ahmed Hiron, senior journalist of Daily Samakal and Bayazid Ahmed, special correspondent of Dipta Television, died of old age at his residence at Goalchamat Housing Estate in Faridpur at 8:15 am on Friday.
He was 88 years old at the time of his death. He was buried at Alipore graveyard after Janaza at Goalchamat Housing Estate Jame Mosque after Jumma. The late AKM Nazrul Islam was a retired officer of the Bangladesh Water Development Board. He is survived by three sons, two daughters and a wife.
