Decapitated body of an unknown person recovered in Shibganj

Faysal Azam Apu, Chapainawabganj: Police have recovered the decapitated body of an unidentified person in Chapainawabganj. The body was recovered from a sugarcane field on the side of the road at Jhabubazar-Puthimari Beel in Kansat Union of Shibganj Upazila on Thursday morning.

Police and locals said that when they went to tie cows and goats on the side of the road, the locals found the body and informed the police. Later, members of police, detective police (DB) and CID came to the spot and collected various clues.

Shibganj Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Farid Hossain confirmed the matter and said no identity of the body has been found yet. CID members have collected evidence at the scene. After collecting the evidence, the body will be sent to the morgue for autopsy.
