Two killed in separate road accidents in Kushtia

Abdur Razzak Bachchu, Kushtia: Two people have been killed in two separate road accidents in Kushtia. A teenager on a motorcycle has died after being hit by an illegal steering trolley at reckless speed in Kushtia`s Mirpur. Meanwhile, a motorcyclist named Mohsin Hossain (35) was killed when he was hit by a drum truck in Daulatpur.

The accident took place at around 8 am on Friday between Hawakhali field between Azmatpur and Laxidhardia villages of Dhubail union in Mirpur upazila.

The deceased was identified as Siam, 18. He is the son of David of Chuck Dhubail village in the same area.

According to local sources, Bakul from nearby Satgachhi village was driving recklessly at a local low-lying area.

Later, the locals rescued Siam and sent him to KushtiaSadarHospital where he died on the way.

Officer-in-charge of Mirpur Police Station Golam Mostafa confirmed the death in the accident.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist named Mohsin Hossain (35) was killed when he was hit by a drum truck in Daulatpur.

The accident took place at 11:30 pm on Thursday (January 20) at a place called Allahdarga on the Daulatpur-Bheramara road.

The deceased was identified as Mohsin Hossain, son of late Khatibur Rahman of Satbaria area in Bheramara upazila. He worked in a local bidi factory.

According to local sources, Mohsin Ali was returning home from Daulatpur to Bheramara on a motorcycle after completing his factory duty at night. Mohsin Hossain was seriously injured when a drum truck (Jessore-11-546) coming from behind hit him. He was later rescued by locals and taken to Daulatpur Upazila Health Complex where he died on the way.

Daulatpur Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Jabid Hasan confirmed the information and said police recovered the body and sent it to Kushtia GeneralHospital morgue for autopsy.
