New committee of Secondary Teachers Association formed in Daulatkhan

MA Mannan, Bhola: A new committee of the Secondary Teachers` Association has been formed at Daulatkhan in Bhola. MA Taher, Headmaster of Azhar Ali Secondary School was elected as a president while Mejba Uddin Sohel, Assistant Headmaster of Joynagar Secondary School elected general secretary.

On Tuesday, the committee was formed at the tri-annual conference of the teachers` association at Sukdev MM Secondary School of the upazila. A full committee will be formed at the next general meeting of the association, said officials.

At the conference, 80 representatives of secondary schools of the upazila put their voting right by secret ballot. Former President of Teachers` Association Formuzal Haque presided over the function and Safia Khatun, General Secretary of Bhola District Branch of Bangladesh Teachers Association (Kamaramnazzaman) was present as a Chief Guest. Hasan Mizanur Rahman Mithu, Joint General Secretary of Bhola District Teachers Association was the special guest. Among others, Bhola Sadar Upazila headmaster Abul Kashem and Md. Ibrahim and many others were present.

In the second session, voting was held in a peaceful atmosphere maintaining the rules of hygiene. The voting was conducted by Md. Kamal Uddin, former president of the Secondary Teachers` Association and Faruk Hossain Talukder, the organizing secretary.
