The officials and employees of this department are always busy to deliver clean water and sanitation facilities in the district. Despite being so busy, Cox`s Bazar Public Health Engineering Department has not lost the spirit of Bangabandhu, Liberation War and Liberation War. With the tireless efforts of Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Executive Engineer of Cox`s Bazar public health Engineering Department and the encouragement of local MP and Honorable Whip Saimum Sarwar Kamal, when Bangabandhu Corner was being prepared, there was non-cooperation from one quarter. But ignoring all the conspiracies, Bangabandhu Corner became a reality with the touch of some promising artists and architects.
Yesterday, March 26 (Monday), on the Great Independence and National Day at 4 pm, Jatiya Sangsad Whip Saimum Sarwar Kamal inaugurated the newly constructed Bangabandhu corner on the 2nd floor of the Rest House of the public health Engineering Department.
At that time, Assistant Engineer Md. Abul Manjur, Deputy Assistant Engineers, politicians, journalists and eminent persons were present at the public health Engineering Department.
Meanwhile, Whip Kamal said, Bangabandhu is the name of a spirit. On the day of independence such corner deserves real praise. Public health Engineering Department Cox`s Bazar added a new dimension by setting up such a Bangabandhu corner in Cox`s Bazar district.
Md. Mostafizur Rahman, executive engineer of the public health Engineering Department , said, "Bangabandhu" is a name of consciousness, a name of patriotism, a name of building a happy and prosperous Bangladesh with everyone regardless of caste, religion and color. He hoped to transform Bangladesh into a smart Bangladesh.
Artist Arzana Tabussum said, CM Nahid Al Hasan, SM Abdur Razzak and artist Arzana Tabussum were jointly thought of by three people as architects through the consultant team. Which is named as "Bangabandhu Corner".
