Punjab Kings skipper Sam Curran starred with 63 as they defeated an already qualified Rajasthan Royals by 5 wickets at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday.

With that, Rajasthan’s finish in the Top 2 remained uncertain with Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings breathing down their necks in order to leap frog them and book a place in the first 2 spots.

Riyan Parag top scored with 48 as Rajasthan Royals lost wickets at regular intervals to post a below-par 144/9 against the Punjab Kings.

The Punjab bowlers were on point in the night with Harshal Patel, Sam Curran and Rahul Chahar getting 2 wickets apiece.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bat first against the Punjab Kings.

There were a few changes in both sides with Tom Kohler-Cadmore coming in for Jos Buttler while Donovan Ferreira will be used as a Impact substitute. For Punjab, Nathan Ellis replaces Kagiso Rabada and Harpreet Brar also comes back in.
