4 missing as boat capsizes in Padma

Four people went missing as a boat capsized in the Padma river under Paba upazila in Rajshahi district on Sunday evening.

The incident happened around 7:00 PM in Chor Majhardiar area in the upazila.


The missing people are Md Razu, son of Enamul Haque; Md Sobuz, son of Entaz; Mohammad Ali, son of Khalil; and Md Faruque, son of Kalam; residents of the area.

Humayon Kabir, local UP member, confirmed the matter.

He said that the boat carrying 16 passengers sank in the river around 7:00 PM.

12 passengers swam shore while four others went missing, the UP member added
