  Date : 09-05-2025

Family members of two who were martyred in the student-people movement today got financial support in Sail Bazar and Shoaib

Bazar areas under Singra upazila in Natore district.

Ramzan Ali, 30, son of Nazrul Islam of Sail Hazipur village and Sohel Rana,
28, son of Mottaleb Hossain of Soair village were killed in the student-
people movement at Savar in Dhaka on August 5.

Ramzan used to work in a fish wholesale shop while Sohel was a garments
worker.

The families were given bank cheques of Taka two lakh each at the two
separate places.

Natore district Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr Mir Nurul Islam and its
general secretary Professor Sadequr Rahman handed over the cheques to the
families of those martyred.

Upazila Amir Aman Ullah and its general secretary Prof Entaj Ali and Shingra
Pourasabha Amir Maolana Sadrullah and its general secretary Mijanur Rahman
were present on the occasion.

Dr Mir Nurul Islam said many people including Ramzan Ali and Sohel Rana in
Natore district lost their lives to protect Bangladesh from the autocratic
and fascist regime. A new Bangladesh has emerged at the cost of their
valuable lives, he added.

He also urged the martyred family members not to be frustrated as their party
and the government as well remains beside. BSS
