Bangladesh women`s football team face India this afternoon

Bangladesh women`s football team face India in their second and ultimate group A match of SAFF Women`s Championship scheduled to be held Wednesday afternoon at Dasharath Rangasala Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The match kicks off at 5:45 pm (BST). A win for Bangladesh will see them as group champions. However, if the match ends in a draw, Bangladesh will finish as the group runners-up with four points. Bangladesh, in their first group match, came from behind forced Pakistan to play a 1-1 goal draw, courtesy of a Shamsunnahar Jr.`s goal in the dying moment of the match, BSS reports.

Bangladesh is going to face India probably the best side in the tournament. Bangladesh will not want to lose this match rather the Sabina and Co. is optimistic with India match and eying to finish as group champions.

On the other hand, the five time champions India, who already confirmed their spot of semifinals with a 5-2 win over Pakistan in their tournament opening match, also eying to shift the group top.
Pakistan also have chance to qualify for the semifinals if Bangladesh lose to India. In this case, goal margin will be calculated.
The top two teams from each group of the tournament will advance to the semifinals to be held on October 27 while the final is slated for October 30.
