Two die in Bagerhat road crash

Two people were killed and three others injured when a private car collided with a tree at Mollahat in Bagerhat early Tuesday.

The accident happened around 3:30 am at Mejhera Gawla in the upazila.

The dead were Tarek, the driver of the car, hailed from Daudkandi upazila in Cumilla, and Riad, from the same upazila.

The injured were Habibur Rahman of Muradnagar Upazila, Rasel of Daudkandi Upazila and Sorab Hossain of Titas Upazila in Cumilla.

Mollahat Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Nuruzzaman Chanu said the bodies have been recovered. The injured have been sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital. Necessary legal action will be taken by contacting the families of the dead and injured.
