Kamrul Hasan : To build a just state through the implementation of the 31-point reform plan aimed at protecting independence, the constitution, and democracy, a united public opinion must be formed to ensure the victory of the Sheaf of Paddy (BNP’s election symbol). Afroza Khanam Rita said, “The BNP’s main objective is to protect the country’s sovereignty, establish people’s fundamental rights, and strengthen the organization under the guidance of Deshnayak Tareq Rahman. The commitment to rebuild the state structure can only be achieved through the effective implementation of the 31-point program.”
She further stated, “Under the visionary leadership of Deshnayak Tareq Rahman, the joint movement of BNP and the people has brought an end to autocracy. Now, it is time to transform the achievements of that movement into sustainable development. National reconstruction is possible only by upholding the ideals and patriotism of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.”
Rita added, “As part of fulfilling the people’s long 17-year aspiration, the interim government has decided to hold the national election in February 2026. However, a certain group is conspiring to foil the election in the name of the ‘PR system.’ These evil forces must be resisted in unity for the welfare of the nation.”
She urged party leaders and activists to play an active role in ensuring the victory of the Sheaf of Paddy and encouraged women to take a more proactive role in politics. She also sought prayers for the recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and for the good health and long life of Deshnayak Tareq Rahman, as well as for the welfare of the country.
At the end of the event, guests distributed prizes among the winners of various cultural competitions organized by the Manikganj Literary and Cultural Council. Artists from Shilpakala Academy and JASAS performed songs, dances, and recitations, which were enjoyed by a large audience.
