India shuts 24 airports amid rising tensions with Pakistan
  Date : 09-05-2025

Online Report : India shut down 24 airports across the country on Thursday as tensions with Pakistan intensified following renewed missile and drone attacks launched by Pakistan into Indian territory.

The emergency measure marks a sharp escalation in the ongoing conflict and has significantly disrupted domestic and international travel. Indian authorities have not disclosed how long the closures will remain in effect but described the move as precautionary in light of national security concerns.

Several Indian airlines have issued travel advisories, warning of delays and cancellations. Passengers have been urged to check flight statuses, plan alternate routes, and comply with enhanced security procedures at operational airports.

The government has not released specific details about the affected airports or the nature of the Pakistani attacks, but the developments have sparked concerns about the safety of air travel and the broader geopolitical stability in the region.
