  Date : 10-06-2026

A court in Dhaka on Wednesday acquitted cricketer Nasir Hossain and his wife Tamima Sultana Tammi from a case filed over allegations of adultery and defamation.

The court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam issued this order in presence of the couple.

On February 9, 2022, the court framed charges against Nasir and Tamima, while Tamima`s mother Sumi Akter was discharged from the case as the court did not find any allegation against her.

The case was filed on February 24, 2021, by Tamima`s former husband, Rakib Hasan.
