International Desk : Iran has established several "red lines" for the United States and Western countries regarding its nuclear program. Professor Shahram Akbarzadeh, an expert on Iran at Deakin University in Australia, revealed this information in an interview.
He stated that Iran has some crucial conditions for the success of diplomatic negotiations, and ignoring them could make the situation even more critical.
Iran has pledged to cooperate with international observers on its nuclear project. However, they have also clearly stated that this project will never be used for military purposes or to build weapons. In exchange for this transparency and cooperation, Iran seeks relief from sanctions imposed by Western countries. This is Iran`s first red line. If the Western world respects this first red line, a diplomatic solution to this issue can be reached immediately.
Iran`s second red line is that it will not succumb to the `bullying` of the United States or any other state. Threats of conflict or threats to assassinate the supreme religious leader are considered "bullying" by the Iranian ruling establishment and its people.
"Therefore, you cannot expect the Iranian people to surrender or seek compromise due to intimidation or any other reason," Shahram Akbarzadeh told Al Jazeera.
Iran`s red lines make it clear that a peaceful solution to the nuclear issue requires a responsible and respectful role from both sides. If these limitations can be observed through diplomatic understanding, then peace and stability in the Middle East can be achieved. Otherwise, if ignored, the risk of conflict will increase, and tensions could be prolonged.
