1 more dengue death, 114 fresh cases recorded in 24 hrs

Another death was reported from dengue in the last 24 hours (from Thursday 8:00am to Friday 8:00am), taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 61 this year.

The new death was reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

During the period, 114 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, raising the total cases to 16,395 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (July 18).

Of the new cases, 10 were reported in Barishal division (outside the city corporation), 43 in Chattogram division (outside the city corporation), 31 in Dhaka division (outside the city corporation), 10 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 19 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and 1 in Mymensingh division (outside the city corporation).
