Fuel prices to remain unchanged for August: Energy ministry
  Date : 01-08-2025

Online Report : The prices of fuel will remain unchanged for the month of August, according to a notification issued on Thursday by Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.

The ministry stated that starting from August 1, octane will continue to sell at Tk 122 per litre, petrol at Tk 118, diesel at Tk 102 and kerosene at Tk 114.

The decision to keep prices unchanged was made under the automated pricing formula, which adjusts domestic fuel rates in line with fluctuations in the global oil market.

Fuel prices were also kept unchanged in July.

The government introduced the automated fuel pricing system in March last year to bring local prices in line with international trends.

Under this system, fuel prices are reviewed and announced at the beginning of each month.
