Jamaat preparing for polls on February 15: Taher
  Date : 29-08-2025

(BSS) - Jamaat-e-Islami Naib-e-Ameer Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher today said their party supports holding elections in February and is preparing for polls on February 15.

"The interim government had committed to maintaining neutrality, implementing reforms, ensuring visible justice and conducting elections," he said.

Mohammad Taher made these comments while speaking as the chief guest at Jamaat`s `Election Responsibility Rally` in Kalirbazar Union of Chauddagram Upazila of the district.

However, he emphasized that certain issues must be resolved to ensure a free and fair election.

Among these, the July Charter must be given legal recognition and the February elections must be conducted based on it, he added.

Among others, Jamaat Central Majlish-e Shura member Abdus Sattar, Comilla South District Jamaat Amir Mohammad Shahjahan, Upazila Jamaat Secretary Belal Hossain, Assistant Secretary Abdur Rahim, and Kalikapur Union Jamaat Amir Abul Hashem were present on the occasion.
