The country`s first `Public Speaking Olympiad` was held yesterday at the Lion Humayun Zahir Auditorium in Agargaon, Agargaon, with a colorful ceremony. After multiple rounds of scrutiny, 12 contestants from all over the country participated in the presentation and question and answer round. After overcoming various stages of the competition, Aaysha Salma from Rangpur won the honor of becoming the champion. Adiba Sultana Alifa was the 1st runner-up and Fauzia Yasmin from Sylhet was selected as the 2nd runner-up.

The guests of honor at the event were Mr. Lion Benazir Ahmed PMGF, former President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries, and Mr. Kazi M Ahmed, an internationally renowned global public speaker and trainer. Also present at the event were Mr. Iqbal Bahar, founder of ‘A Story to Tell Yourself’, Mr. Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed, founder and CEO of ABCDE, Mr. Professor SM Arifuzzaman, partner of Kazi Consultants, Mr. Kamrul Hasan, president of E-Club, Mr. Lion Md. Lutfur Rahman MJF, CEO and proprietor of Sun Corporation Limited, Mr. Murad Hossain, CHRO and Board Secretary of Elite Paint Group of Companies, Mr. Hassan Mahmud, Deputy Coordinator of SAARC Region of Global Youth Parliament, Al Mamun Russell, Lawyer of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, KM Hassan Ripon, Executive Director of Bangladesh Skill Development Institute, Mr. Ariful Hassan Apu, President of Space Innovation Camp, Professor Dr. Md. Zulfikar Ali, Chairman of the Department of Business Administration of Presidency University, HR Professional and Leadership Trainer Aleya Akhtar and many other dignitaries.

At the event, Mr. Md. Solaiman Ahmed Zeesan, founder of the `Public Speaking Olympiad`, said - "This initiative is to build confidence, leadership and the ability to express themselves beautifully among the young generation of Bangladesh. In the future, we want to establish it as a branded competition at the national level."
