| ?Mymensingh: A sensational incident occurred in the Gafargaon area of Mymensingh, where a coach of the Jamalpur Express train detached while the train was in motion. The accident took place around 9:30 PM on Saturday. Despite the detachment, the train sped ahead for approximately two kilometres (2 KM), leaving the isolated coach behind. Consequently, the Dhaka-Mymensingh rail communication was completely suspended for about 30 minutes, causing temporary inconvenience to passengers. ?Details of the Accident: ?The incident occurred around 9:30 PM on Saturday (October 25) when the Dhaka-bound Jamalpur Express train, which had originated from Bhuyapur, reached the area between the Rauha and Kalibazar railway stations in Gafargaon Upazila. ?According to local railway police and eyewitnesses, the `hook` connecting the coaches broke, causing the rear Coach No. `Ka` to separate from the main train. The train driver did not immediately realise the detachment. The engine and the remaining coaches continued running for about two kilometres while the isolated coach lay on the tracks. ?Authorities` Actions and Restoration of Rail Communication: ?Upon receiving news of the incident, the railway authorities swiftly initiated operations. Sub-Inspector (SI) Golam Kibria, In-Charge of the Gafargaon Railway Police Outpost, confirmed the matter, stating that the driver stopped the train after realising the incident. The train was then `push-backed` to the location of the detached coach. ?SI Golam Kibria further added that the broken hook was quickly fixed, and the detached coach was reconnected. Following the repair, the train resumed its journey towards its destination, Dhaka. ?Train movement on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route was temporarily suspended for about 30 minutes due to the accident. Rail communication was restored shortly after 10:00 PM, allowing the movement of other trains to resume. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in this incident.
