Students of 7 colleges continuing protest
  Date : 08-12-2025

Students of seven government colleges in Dhaka have continued their protests for one-point demand to issue the final ordinance for the newly proposed Dhaka Central University, passing night in front of the Education Ministry.

Hundreds of students on Monday are sitting on the street near Education Ministry, holding various placards. They announced that they will not leave this are until their demand is fulfilled by the government.

Earlier on Sunday, the students from different campuses started sit-in in front of the ministry, blocking road there.

Meanwhile, vehicle movement of nearby areas is facing troubles following the road blockade.

The students’ sole demand is the immediate issuance of the final ordinance for Dhaka Central University.

The protesters allege that despite repeatedly raising their demands, the ministry has made no visible progress, leaving more than 150,000 students facing an identity crisis and academic uncertainty.
