| MT Desk: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore, held a concluding ceremony for 19 Doctor of Veterinary Science interns from Chittagong Veterinary & Animal Sciences University (CVASU), Bangladesh, who completed a 45-day externship program aimed at enhancing practical and professional skills in veterinary sciences.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Younus presided over the ceremony, while CVASU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Lutf-ur-Rehman attended as Guest of Honour, along with senior faculty members from both institutions.
UVAS and CVASU also signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen academic, research, training, and internship collaboration. Both vice-chancellors reaffirmed their commitment to expanding externship programs, faculty and researcher exchanges, and joint research initiatives to address challenges in the livestock sector.
The Bangladeshi interns received hands-on training in advanced clinical and surgical techniques, diagnostics, animal reproduction, and parasitology, along with educational tours and cultural activities, underscoring the growing academic cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
