Bodies of couple, 8-month kid recovered from relative`s house in Madaripur

A man, his wife and their eight-month-old child have been found dead in their relative`s house in Madaripur city.

The bodies were recovered early Monday from a house at Amirabad area.

The deceased were identified as Chinmoy Das, 38, his wife Isha Das, 32, and their eight-month-old minor child.

Police found Chinmoy Das and the child in a hanging condition with a same rope, while Isha Das`s body was found lying.

Italy expatriate Jotin barai`s wife Mishti Barai, from Gopalganj`s Muksudpur upazila, lives in a rented house, belongs to Santona Rani Chand, at Amirabad area. She has been living there for around three years. On Sunday afternoon, Chinmoy Das and his family members came to this house introducing them as cousin, according to local residence and police personnel.

Around 3AM, getting information, law enforcers rushed to the house and recovered the bodies breaking open the door.

Police later sent the bodies to the morgue of Madaripur 250-bed District Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

Madariur Sadar Model Police Station OC Abul Kalam Azad said, "Misti Barai was alone in an adjacent room at the time of the incident and had contacted police."
