Diplomatic Correspondent: The fourth Made in Pakistan Exhibition opened in Dhaka on Tuesday, highlighting renewed efforts to strengthen economic ties and expand trade and business cooperation between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider inaugurated the five-day exhibition by cutting a ribbon at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital.

Organised by the Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry (PAEI), the exhibition is being held alongside the Pakistan-Bangladesh Business Opportunities Conference under the theme “Bridging Gaps.”

The organisers said the joint event aims to create direct business networks, explore new avenues for cross-border investment and promote business-to-business (B2B) cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

The exhibition features a wide range of Pakistani products representing the country`s industrial, commercial and cultural strengths. Internationally recognised Pakistani brands, including Gul Ahmed, Jade, Qarshi and Hemani, are participating in the event.

The participating companies are showcasing a variety of products, including pharmaceuticals, natural and consumer goods, textiles and traditional bridal wear, providing Bangladeshi consumers and businesspeople with an opportunity to explore Pakistani products and potential commercial partnerships.

The organisers said the exhibition is particularly significant for local distributors, wholesalers and retail buyers looking to establish direct business links with Pakistani companies.

Speaking at the inaugural programme, business leaders and trade representatives stressed the potential for expanding commercial relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan. They said increased interaction between the private sectors of the two countries could help identify new areas of cooperation and facilitate greater trade and investment.

The exhibition also provides a platform for entrepreneurs from both countries to exchange views, explore market opportunities and develop long-term business partnerships.

The organisers described the event as an important platform for reducing barriers to direct commercial engagement and strengthening private-sector connectivity between the two countries.

The five-day exhibition will remain open daily to the public as well as corporate buyers. Entry is free for visitors.
