New venue aims to cater to dining, family gatherings and corporate celebrations
Special Correspondent: Water Park Restaurant and Party Center, a new destination for dining, family gatherings and social celebrations, has officially opened in Uttara, adding another venue to the capital’s hospitality and event-management sector.
The grand opening ceremony was held at 5:00 pm on Friday at the restaurant’s premises in Sector 17, Uttara, with senior government officials, business representatives, journalists and more than 300 guests in attendance.
Abu Sayed Md. Kamruzzaman, secretary of Bangladesh Govt and Chief Executive Officer of Bangladesh Public Procurement Authority (BPPA) attended the inauguration as the chief guest. Dr Ali Afzal, President of the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB), and Lokman Ahmed, former Director General of the National Academy for Educational Management (NAEM), attended as special guests.
Syed Mesbah Uddin Mahin, Managing Director of Water Park Restaurant & Party Center, presided over and conducted the inaugural programme. Finance Director Mohammed Nazrul Islam, Noor Mohammad Saidee, other directors and shareholders, their family members and representatives from different media outlets were also present.
The organizers said the establishment has been developed with modern architectural design, an improved environment and a focus on quality service. The venue is intended to serve customers seeking dining facilities as well as a place to arrange family gatherings, social functions, corporate programmes and various celebrations.
The opening comes as Uttara continues to develop as a major residential and commercial area of Dhaka. The expansion of hospitality and event facilities in such urban centres can offer additional options for residents, businesses and visitors looking for convenient venues for meals and organized events.
For the hospitality sector, facilities combining restaurant services with event spaces can serve different customer groups, from families and social circles to corporate clients. Their long-term performance, however, will depend on service quality, food standards, pricing, customer satisfaction and the ability to maintain a welcoming environment.
The organizers expressed their intention to establish Water Park Restaurant and Party Center as an attractive destination for food and celebrations in Uttara. Details about its seating capacity, menu, pricing, employment generation and future business plans were not provided at the inauguration.
The restaurant is located at Holding-02, Road-1/B, Block-I, Sector-17, Uttara, Dhaka-1230, on the eastern side of Uttara Center Metro Station, near Pillar No. 73.
With its launch, Water Park Restaurant and Party Center enters Dhaka’s competitive dining and event-hosting market, seeking to attract customers through its location, facilities and service offerings.
